Commencement information can be found at commencement.uga.edu. Marshall Shepherd, host of The Weather Channel’s award-winning Sunday talk show “Weather Geeks,” will deliver the commencement address. Shepherd is a Georgia Athletic Association Distinguished Professor and Director of the Atmospheric Sciences program at UGA in addition to contributing to Forbes Magazine.
Graduate degree candidates will report to the women’s basketball practice gym on the second floor of the Coliseum Training Facility at 8:00 a.m. Enter through the doors closest to the Carlton Street Parking Deck. Hooding professors will also assemble in the women’s basketball practice gym.
Graduate commencement exercises are held in May and December. Students completing Graduate and Doctoral degree requirements during Summer will have the option to participate in the Fall graduation ceremony.
