Coming Fall 2017

The Fall Campus Visit Day provides an overview of graduate education at The University of Georgia. Topics include information about:

  • Academic programs
  • Admissions
  • Funding
  • The City of Athens

This event includes a campus tour, student panel, luncheon with members of the UGA community, and opportunities to speak with Graduate School representatives. This event is for juniors, seniors, and professionals with a 3.0/4.0 or higher undergraduate GPA.

Preparing for Graduate School Workshop

(UGA Undergraduates only)

The Preparing for Graduate School Workshop is for current UGA Juniors and Seniors interested in graduate education at The University of Georgia. This fall workshop is designed to provide students with the tools and information necessary to apply and succeed at graduate school. Topics include:

  • Benefits of earning a graduate degree
  • Application and Admissions process
  • Sources for financial assistance and funding

Speakers and panelists include Graduate School representatives, current graduate students, and financial aid representatives.

Accepted Students Day

Accepted Students Day is held twice each spring for students who have been accepted into a UGA graduate program. This event is designed to provide an introduction to graduate studies at UGA, timely and important information about university resources from campus representatives, and an overview of steps to take to ensure a worry-free transition into your studies here at UGA. Topics covered include:

  • Adjustment to graduate studies
  • Funding your graduate education
  • Housing options
  • The City of Athens

This event also includes a campus tour, graduate student panel, lunch, and pre-arrival and post-arrival “To-Do” checklists.
