The LL.M. degree program is a 10-month full-time School of Law program for lawyers who have earned a law degree equivalent to a Juris Doctor outside of the United States.

University of Georgia School of Law LL.M. candidates study alongside J.D. candidates and a diverse group of LL.M. students from around the globe at one of the nation’s top law schools. Each LL.M. student pursues a flexible curriculum tailored to his or her career goals, which may include preparation to be eligible to sit for the Georgia or other U.S. bar examination. When they graduate, UGA School of Law LL.M.s are connected to an extensive alumni network with a global reach.

The LL.M. degree is awarded upon the successful completion of 26 semester hours in an academic year.
A dual two-year LL.M./MBA degree is offered in cooperation with the Terry College of Business.
LL.M. candidates who demonstrate a high level of achievement may apply to transfer, upon graduation, to studies leading to a University of Georgia School of Law J.D. degree.
