The master of Education degree is designed for the students whose vocational objectives require preparation for teaching, supervising, counseling, and/or front-line administration in grades P-12 and other educational or professional agencies.

Master of Education Requirements

Plan A

The requirement for the degree of Master of Education may be met by the completion of an approved program of a minimum of 33 semester hours of graduate coursework. Under this plan, the following two courses must be included in the student’s program: a research course and 7650-Applied Project in Education. A maximum of 15 hours of non-resident in-service credit is allowed on the program of study.

Plan B

Under this option, the requirement for the Master of Education degree may be met by a minimum of 36 semester hours of approved graduate course work. A research course must be included in the student’s program. A maximum of 18 semester hours of non-resident in-service credit is allowed on the program of study.
