Our program is designed for credentialed secondary school teachers. Students take courses that fit a working teacher's schedule and that support individual areas of interest and expertise.

The Department of Reading Education has merged with the Department of Language Education. The new combined department is called the Department of Language and Literacy Education.

The M.Ed. in English Education provides advanced professional preparation for educators interested in the teaching of English Language Arts in secondary schools. This program is designed for applicants who have initial certification (T-4). Courses for endorsements in ESOL, Reading, Gifted, or Educational Leadership may be included in the program of study.
