The Doctor of Public Health (Dr.P.H.) program is an advanced professional degree in public health. The UGA’s DrPH program aims to prepare graduates to advance the public’s health through the integration of core public health knowledge, application of analytical skills in leadership and practice, and utilization of public health research methodology to the complex practical problems in public health practice.
This program is interdisciplinary and provides advanced public health training which draws on a variety of academic disciplines to train mid- to senior-level professionals in public health. This advanced professional degree is designed for administrators and practitioners who have three or more years of professional experience beyond the M.P.H. degree. The program is 57 hours total, including an applied doctoral dissertation research project.
