On behalf of the University of Georgia’s Graduate School, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new and returning graduate students to this academic year.
As graduate students, you contribute in integral ways to the mission of the University. Our graduate students are at the heart of UGA’s excellence through cutting-edge research and scholarship, transformative teaching, and impactful community engagement.
The excellent training and mentorship offered by our faculty and the community of peers you meet during your time at UGA will be critical to your personal and professional success.

While enrolled at UGA, you will have access to a range of programs and resources that empower you to unlock your full potential, such as the GradFIRST seminar series, that will help our new graduate students create supportive networks with peers and faculty while they learn about tools for success in graduate school. For our new and continuing graduate students, GradUP is an online resource that will help you identify and take advantage of essential resources for academic support, professional and career development, and well-being.
