Grad Student Book Club
Graduate education is comprised of more than classes, research, and your own small bubble. In this bi-monthly book club, we’ll be reading and discussing books that explore and explain different aspects of academia and beyond. Books for discussion are available for digital access through the UGA Libraries. Both in-person and zoom options will be available; check back for each month’s date, time, and registration links.

Time Management Workshop
A bullet journal is a self-made journal, unique to an individual and their goals, that can be made to log daily to-dos, keep a monthly or weekly calendar, jot down notes, track physiological and mental health, record both short- and long-term goals, and much more.
In this workshop, grad students will have the opportunity to create their own personalized bullet journal while learning and sharing strategies to stay organized and manage their time in graduate school and beyond.

Budgeting
Budgeting 101: Making It On a College Budget presented by the OSFA Peer Financial Counseling Program. During this workshop, you will learn information regarding budgeting, including the definition of a budget, five steps for managing your budget, types of budgeting methods, types of budgeting apps, and tips/resources for budgeting. The goal of this workshop is to provide you with information and resources for managing your daily finances in a way that best fits your personality.
Credit & Credit Scores
Credit Reports, Credit Scores, & Credit Cards presented by the OSFA Peer Financial Counseling Program. The workshop will cover information on the following topics: credit reports vs. credit scores, what’s in a credit report, the major credit bureaus, who uses your credit report, what is a credit report used for, where can I get my credit report, credit report mistakes & identity theft, what’s a credit score, what does your credit score impact, how to properly use credit cards, how do you start building credit, credit myths, debt payoff strategies, and your credit rights.
Student Loans
Graduate Student Loan Borrowing presented by the OSFA Peer Financial Counseling Program. This workshop will cover information on Federal Student Loans, PLUS Loans, Private Student Loans, borrowing smart, loan resources, and loan scams. The goal of this webinar is to help you make smart borrowing decisions for your educational expenses.
Leasing Smart
Leasing Smart for Rentals presented by the OSFA Peer Financial Counseling Program. This workshop will cover information on what’s in a lease, leasing terms, budgeting for housing, renter rights, and identifying rental scams.
Fitness Classes & Activities
In collaboration with the Department of Recreation Sports (Ramsey Center)
Barre – This class is a full body workout using ballet, Pilates, and strength training. The Barre format strengthens and stabilizes muscles, while performing isometric movements.
CardioBox – CardioBox is a high intensity interval training class designed to make you sweat! With an additional emphasis on ab exercises, CardioBox is a great full body workout for everyone! No prior boxing experience is required.
Cycle – Be prepared to ride your way through rolling hills, steep climbs, false flats, sprints, and much more! This class is a great option for those seeking a challenging low-impact, cardio and strength fusion.
Human Reformer® – Human Reformer® reimagines traditional reformer Pilates by transforming your body into the ultimate reformer using resistance bands. This innovative mat-based format provides a powerful, full-body workout that replicates the benefits of reformer training – without the need for bulky equipment or the high cost.
Step Aerobics – Get ready to elevate your fitness routine and step up to a new challenge! Our Step Aerobics class combines high-energy cardio with dynamic movements to help you burn calories, tone muscles, and improve coordination.
Yoga – Refine and master breathing techniques and a wide variety of essential yoga poses. The sequence of movements will help stretch, unwind, and de-stress your mind and body.
Yoga & Meditation – Yoga & Meditation focuses on a calming, quiet atmosphere to center the body and mind. Emphasis will be placed on a lengthened guided mediation time to improve serenity and focus as well as comfortably lengthening the muscles.
