Graduate education at the University of Georgia was well represented at the annual Conference of Southern Graduate Schools!
Xena Mansoura, a Chemistry alumna, was awarded the CSGS Master’s Thesis Award in the Math, Physical Sciences, and Engineering category for her outstanding thesis, “Synthesis, Characterization, and Application of Copper and Manganese Based Luminescent Materials.”
Kyndra Higgins, a doctoral candidate in Biomedical Engineering, represented UGA in the regional Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition with her presentation, “Breast Cancer: How Cells Shape Up.” Congratulations to these outstanding scholars!
In addition, Vice Provost and Dean Ron Walcott shared how UGA has adopted data-driven strategies toward graduate enrollment management, and Associate Dean Anne Shaffer provided an overview of the development and launch of the GradFIRST seminar series.
