All new graduate teaching and laboratory assistants who will have instructional responsibilities during 2019-2020 academic year are required to attend the Orientation for Graduate Teaching and Laboratory Assistants. This includes laboratory and teaching assistants as well as others in graduate student classifications who will be serving as instructors.
Register for the TA Orientation at https://ctl.uga.edu/grad-student/ta-orientation/. Sessions will focus on topics and strategies to help you prepare for the first weeks of classes, as well as important legal and managerial information for the classroom.
The Main and Science libraries will each host open houses especially for incoming and returning graduate students. We plan to help you get acquainted (or re-acquainted) with library resources, services, and people. Our quick database demos and tours are filled with tips and tricks to help you in your work as a graduate student at UGA. Enter the raffle for a chance to win gift cards to help you survive the grad life. We look forward to meeting you!
A number of activities will be offered by graduate student organizations to welcome you to campus throughout August:
