GAPS X Grad Pride Color Therapy
6:00-7:00 PM | Tate 137
Join Graduate and Professional Scholars (GAPS) and Grad Pride for a little color therapy. This fellowship event will be full of fun and creativity. We will be coloring color sheets with the faces of prominent LGBTQIA+ figures and discussing ways our communities can better meet the needs of LGBTQIA+ graduate students on campus. Refreshments will be provided!
Wednesday, April 6
7:30 PM | Facebook Live
Graduate students share their research in just three minutes! No props, no costumes, not songs, no dances. Just one static slide. The competition will stream on the Graduate School’s Facebook page at 7:30 PM. The link to vote for the People’s Choice winner will be available on our Facebook immediately after the stream ends.
Thursday, April 7
5:00-6:00 PM | North Campus Lawn | Ben & Jerry’s afterwards!
GAPS, the Hispanic Student Association (HSA), and the Ballroom Performance Group (BPG) are hosting a dance lesson on North Campus. Learn the Bachata and enjoy some post-dancing ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s.
Friday, April 8
11:30 AM-1:30 PM | New College Lawn (in between New College and the Chapel)
We’re hosting lunch for graduate and professional students. Join us on Friday to close out Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week. We will have games, sandwiches, chips, drinks, and candy. We will relocate to the Fourth Floor Rotunda at the Miller Learning Center in the case of inclement weather.
Axe Throwing Mixer
6:00-8:00 PM | LumberJaxe | 510 Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA
How should does one end Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation week? Probably throwing an axe.
