The 2023 Life Sciences Career Day was a huge success, due to an overwhelming attendance of graduate students, co-sponsorship with Merck Animal Health, and speakers who provided highly interactive, informative content.
Karen Burg, UGA Vice President for Research, welcomed attendees to the event. Throughout the day attendees had an opportunity to hear from keynote speaker Scott Nordstrom, DVM, to participate in workshops and breakout sessions, and to interact with twenty-five speakers from a range of industries, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Ron Walcott, Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Dean of the Graduate School, delivered closing remarks to conclude the event.
