Doctoral student receives Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad award for research in Vietnam

Congratulations to Ph.D. student Jacob Weger who received a Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad award for his research in Vietnam. Jacob is pursuing his degree in ecological and environmental anthropology, and he will spend a year in Vietnam studying the networks of knowledge and governance that influence the climate change adaptation strategies of farmers in the Mekong Delta as they adjust their livelihoods to rising sea levels and changing hydrological patterns. Weger received his undergraduate degree in sociology and anthropology from Lewis & Clark College. The Fulbright-Hayes program provides grants to fund doctoral students who conduct research in other countries, in modern foreign languages, and in area studies.
