The UGA Office of Sustainability announced the recipients of the 2021 Sustainability Grants. They awarded more than $40,000 to support 13 interdisciplinary student projects that will be implemented in spring 2021. Grants up to $5,000 are available to current UGA students who wish to initiate projects that advance sustainability through education, research, service, and campus operations. These projects address UGA’s strategic priorities and integrate social, environmental, and economic solutions to help ensure that all people can thrive, both now and in the future. Grants are awarded based on merit, positive impact, implementation feasibility, and available funding.
Graduate students who received the awards include:
- Megan Lott, PhD student in Environmental Health Sciences
- Isabella Rangonese, PhD student in Ecology
- Portia Johnson, PhD student in Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics.
