The mission of the Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development (LLOD) PhD program mirrors the three-fold mission of The University of Georgia – to teach, to research, and to serve. Offered through the College of Education, the University of Georgia’s Department of Lifelong Education, Administration and Policy (LEAP) offers qualified students the ability to earn a PhD degree in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development. The PhD in LLOD program is designed to prepare students for leadership and research careers related to the learning, leadership, and organization development. All phases of the program, from advisement to dissertation, encourage and support the development of advanced knowledge and skills for conducting research and analyzing and reporting findings. The program provides coursework as well as experiential opportunities for students to deeply develop their capacities for critical thinking, reflexivity, inquiry and research, and as related to a specific area of specialization (topic focus).
