Scientific Research and Education Network (SciREN), a two-part STEM professional development opportunity, is now open for registration. At the Lesson Planning Workshop, researchers develop classroom-ready lesson plans based on current STEM research projects. Held on Thursday January 31st, 2019 from 6-8 pm at the Tate Center Rm 137, the workshop includes free dinner, a short talk, an educator panel, and time to work on your lesson plans. The SciREN Networking Event will take place on Saturday February 23, 2019 from 11 am-2 pm at the GA Botanical Gardens. Researchers at this free networking event will each have a booth to demonstrate their lesson plans and chat with local K-12 educators.
